Sombr teamed up with The Cranberries to cover ‘Zombie’ at Electric Picnic in Ireland last night – check out footage below.
The three-day event kicked off last night (August 28) at Stradbally Hall in County Laois, where the US pop artist took to the stage with a flamboyant entrance that saw him arrive backstage in a Mercedes, and later attempt to split the G.
He later surprised fans by bringing out Noel and Mike Hogan of The Cranberries to perform the 1994 classic ‘Zombie’ – and you can find footage of the moment below.
It’s the second time he’s done a Cranberries crossover. Back in March, the singer played the final night of his ‘The Late Nights & Young Romance Tour’ at Dublin’s 3Arena, and brought out Mike and Noel to mark the occasion.
They joined him on stage for a rendition of their 1993 classic hit, ‘Linger’, prompting fans to joke that the American singer had “earned his Irish passport”.

The singer spoke to NME at the BRITs 2026, where he was nominated for International Artist and International Song (‘Undressed’). Sombr said he felt “honoured” to be at the awards, and was “thankful for the British people for accepting” his debut album “with open arms”.
“I just love it here,” he told us. “It’s the music that comes from the UK [that clicks with me]. In my opinion, I love America, but I think acts from the UK just beat them, in terms of iconic acts.”
He cited the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie and Elton John, as well as some legendary Manchester bands like Oasis and The Stone Roses.
In April, Sombr delivered yet another surprise duet with Billy Corgan at Coachella, where he also performed with Billy Idol, and covered a Radiohead classic.
