An immersive exhibition celebrating Madonna‘s 68th birthday will open in central London this weekend.
Titled ‘C’Mon Meet Me On The Dancefloor’, the interactive installation will be free and open to the public at Outernet London tomorrow (August 16).
Created and directed by Lookport Studio in collaboration with the venue, it will combine music and large-scale visual storytelling across The Now Building’s 360-degree digital screens. Fans will be able to leave personal messages at the installation, with selected photographs and messages to be included on the screens.
“Madonna helped write the language of modern pop culture through decades of relentless work, constant reinvention and a refusal to stand still,” said Lookport founder and creative director Alex Wolf. “We wanted to honour that drive and give the audience a genuine way to express their own connection to her work – through personal stories, emotions and messages.”
Outernet CEO Philip O’Ferrall added: “Madonna has inspired audiences and artists for generations, so it is a complete privilege to be able to celebrate her and her connection with fans in such a creative and interactive way.”

Madonna released her 15th studio album ‘Confessions II‘ last month, reuniting her with producer Stuart Price and serving as a sequel to her 2005 record ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’.
NME gave the album four stars, noting: “By drawing from her past, both personally and musically, Madonna has made her most vital album in over two decades. This grande dame still knows how to make us move.”
She was also out Outernet London last month when she took to the decks with Price and her daughter Lourdes at a ‘Club Confessions’ album launch party. She used the set to air ‘Physical Attraction’ for the first time in 40 years.
Madonna also recently brought out Kylie Minogue for a surprise performance of ‘Love Sensation’ at WorldPride Amsterdam. The pair subsequently released an ‘Afterhours’ remix of the track.
She will not be headlining Glastonbury next summer, though, as confirmed by festival organiser Emily Eavis this week, despite appearing to tease it earlier this summer.
Speaking to NME in 2019 about the pressures that are unique to female artists as they get older, Madonna said: “Women have a life span and at a certain age they’re expected to go away. I’m not interested in that.”
