Drum ‘n’ bass DJ Bou goes viral with track sampling flight attendant dealing with irate passenger, then brings her on stage in Las Vegas

Drum ‘n’ bass artist DJ Bou invited a flight attendant to join him on stage, after a clip he took of her handling a drunken passenger on his flight went viral.

The ‘Baddadan’ artist shared a series of clips to his Instagram Stories on Thursday (August 6) showing an altercation between two passengers and on-flight security staff as he boarded a flight from London’s Heathrow Airport to Las Vegas.

British Airways flight attendant Sophie Turner can be seen holding off one disruptive passenger, sternly telling them: “If I have to tell you again, I will be restraining you, sir, if you do not stay seated.”

Impressed by how she handled the situation, he used the remainder of the 10-hour flight to turn her voice into a drum and bass track, and later discovered she was a fan.

Bou had shared an Instagram post documenting the making of a track sampling Turner’s words, and she, having seen the Instagram story, messaged Bou and later took a selfie with him.

When he shared to shot on social media, he captioned it: “Nah, the air hostess loves drum ‘n’ bass and saw my story and she’s coming to my show tonight, piss off.”

Bou later debuted the new track, which he titled ‘STAY SEATED’, during his set at Vegas’ We All Scream on Thursday evening (August 6), bringing Turner on-stage to a round of applause from the audience. “Big up Sophie, you’re a real one,” he wrote on the clip.

Per The Standard, the plane confrontation saw the problematic passenger escorted off the flight by armed Metropolitan Police officers. While British Airways didn’t comment on the song, they did tell the publication that “disruptive or abusive behaviour is never tolerated on board, and the safety of our customers and crew is our highest priority”.

Bou joked on social media that they should give Turner a raise.
