Ariana Grande returns with another dominant week on Billboard’s charts (dated Aug. 15), thanks to the arrival of her new album, petal.
Released July 31 via Republic Records, the set launches at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 295,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in its opening week, according to Luminate. It becomes Grande’s seventh leader and first since her previous studio LP, Eternal Sunshine, in 2024.
Grande also sends all 12 of the album’s tracks onto the Billboard Hot 100, led by lead single and former No. 1 “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” which rebounds to No. 2 (from No. 8). The title track debuts at No. 4, becoming her 24th career top 10.

With 11 debuts, Grande increases her total from 99 to 110 career Hot 100 entries. She becomes the 23rd artist in the chart’s history to amass at least 100 hits, and just the fourth woman, joining Taylor Swift (277), Nicki Minaj (149) and Beyoncé (107).
Of Grande’s 110 career Hot 100 visits, 64 have reached the top 40, 24 have made the top 10, and 10 have hit No. 1.
This also marks the first week that Grande has charted an entire album in the Hot 100’s top 40, as all 12 petal tracks rank in the region. The 12 simultaneous top 40 hits are also a new personal best for her in the region in a single week.
Plus, thanks to the strong metrics for the album, Grande jumps 11 spots to No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100, leading for an 18th total week and for the first time since April 2025.
