V‘s been a champion on the charts as a member of BTS, and now, he’s a champion of one fashion brand’s latest campaign.
As announced on Monday (Aug. 10), the K-pop superstar is now the leading face of “True Champion” by Champion, representing the sporty clothing label globally alongside Romeo Beckham, Danna Paola, Kyle Kuzma, Sofi Tukker, Megan Keller, Bella Sims and Jaalen Best. In photos shared by the company on Instagram, V gazes into the camera while modeling a dark blue hoodie.
“A history of wins that began with a winning spirit — and the determination to keep showing up,” reads a description of the campaign on Champion’s website. “But unspoken greatness is what sets true champions apart from the rest. It is an energy that needs no audience or explanation.”
In a statement, Stefani Fleurant — executive VP of marketing, sport and lifestyle at Authentic Brands Group, which acquired Champion in 2024 — praised V’s “creative vision, global influence and genuine connection with his audience,” explaining that those traits making him a “natural partner” for the brand. “This campaign celebrates the many ways people inspire others through who they are and the incredible talent they bring to the world.”
The South Korean performer is no stranger to fashion partnerships, having previously served as a global ambassador for brands such as Cartier and Celine. In May, V and his BTS bandmates collectively teamed up with Nike for a customizable collection celebrating their ongoing ARIRANG World Tour.
The boy band — which has notched seven No. 1s on the Billboard Hot 100 to date — just completed two nights at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. The septet’s next two shows will take place back to back starting Monday night in Baltimore, with the ARIRANG trek set to complete its North American leg in early September.
BTS’ most recent album, ARIRANG, spent three weeks atop the Billboard 200.
