The Black Sabbath legend passed away last summer, aged 76, just weeks after Black Sabbath played their huge ‘Back To The Beginning’ farewell show at Villa Park in Birmingham.
Now, Sharon has marked what would have been their 46th wedding anniversary with a tribute. Alongside a close-up photo of the couple holding hands, Sharon wrote on Instagram on Friday (July 3): “Today would have been our 46th wedding anniversary.
“Instead, it is a celebration of a love that even death could not diminish. I miss your hand in mine, but I carry your love with me every step of the way. Forever my husband. Forever my heart.”
The couple married in Hawaii on July 4, 1982, and remained together, despite a brief separation in 2016, for 43 years until his death. They renewed their vows in 2017, and together they raised three children: Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.
Sharon’s statement comes after she responded to those who are calling an upcoming AI avatar of Ozzy a “cash grab” – telling them that she “doesn’t need your fucking money”.
News of an AI avatar of the Prince Of Darkness was confirmed Sharon last month, as well as by their son Jack, during a discussion about the future of Ozzy’s brand at Licensing Expo in Las Vegas.
Amid the skepticism, Jack spoke about the plans on his YouTube channel and said that they were focused on keeping it “tasteful” and determined to make sure it wasn’t “lame”.
