Donald Trump may not have been invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding, but he did manage to insert himself into the festivities in the form of a meme. The White House responded to the couple’s marriage on Twitter, posting a riff on the signs that appeared outside Madison Square Garden on Friday night after they officially tied the knot.
“IT’S HAPPENED!!!” the page wrote along with the meme, which showcased signs reading “Trump Is Your President” instead of “JUST&T MARRIED.”
The New York City venue, which hosted the wedding, displayed numerous illuminated signs right after Swift and Kelce said “I do” on Friday evening. Moments afterward, the couple announced they had wed in a press release.
Earlier in the day, The White House had shared another meme referencing Swift with an Eras Tour-esque poster of Trump with the caption, “It’s been a long time coming…”
Trump has long had a feud of sorts with Swift, although she wisely doesn’t engage. After Swift endorsed Kamala Harris in 2024, Trump responded with anger, writing on Truth Social, “I hate Taylor Swift.” In 2025, he added, “Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’”

The president’s distaste for Swift goes back ever farther than the most recent election. Ahead of the midterm elections in 2018, Swift voiced her support for Democratic Senate candidate Phil Bredesen over Republican Marsha Blackburn in Tennessee. The then-president fielded a question on Swift’s stance outside of the White House.
“I’m sure Taylor Swift knows nothing, and doesn’t know anything about [Blackburn],” Trump said, adding, “I like Taylor’s music about 25 percent less now, OK?”
