Margo Price, Brandi Carlile, Mon Rovîa, Ken Pomeroy Among Leading Americana Honors & Awards Nominees

The nominees have been revealed for the 25th annual Americana Honors & Awards, set for Sept. 16 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.

Brandi Carlile, Charley Crockett, Margo Price, Molly Tuttle and Jesse Welles are vying for artist of the year. Carlile previously won in the category in 2019 and 2021, while two of the other artist of the year nominees are former winners of the emerging artist of the year accolade (Price in 2016 and Crockett in 2021).

Several artists — among them Price, Carlile, Pomeroy, I’m With Her, Mon Rovîa and S.G. Goodman — earned nominations in multiple categories.

The album of the year nominees are Tyler Childers’ Snipe Hunter, Kathleen Edwards’ Billionaire, S.G. Goodman’s Planting by the Signs, Ken Pomeroy’s Cruel Joke and Margo Price’s Hard Headed Woman. Childers previously won in this category in 2023 for Can I Take My Hounds to Heaven?.

In the duo/group of the year category, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings won in the category last year and are vying to become the third act to earn back-to-back wins in the category, following The Avett Brothers in 2010-11 and The War and Treaty in 2022-23. Duo/group nominee I’m With Her won this category in 2019, and if they win this year, they will become the first all-woman group to win twice in the category.

The Americana Honors & Awards ceremony will be held during Americanafest, which runs in Nashville from Sept. 15 to 19. Tickets for the Americana Honors & Awards are on sale for Silver Wristband Holders, and will become available to festival wristband holders, members and the general public at a later date.
