The pop star came out to sing “Houdini” and Tame Impala’s “After Thought” on Thursday night
Dua Lipa sure does come and go. On Thursday night, the pop star surprised the audience at London’s the O2 Arena when she came out during Tame Impala‘s show to perform a couple of tracks.
Lipa joined Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker onstage right in the middle of his performance of their 2025 song “After Thought.” There was no introduction, not that the pop star really needs one, as Lipa sauntered onstage and immediately sang the song’s chorus. Once the song ended, Parker did refer to Lipa as his “good friend” before they performed her 2024 hit “Houdini.”

“Let’s play a song that we made together!” Parker said as the collaborators broke into the funk-inspired notes. The musician-producer worked on the majority of Lipa’s Radical Optimism tracks as a producer. “Her editing is brutal … I’d kind of recoil in horror and go, ‘Oh, no, it’s a great verse!’” Parker told Rolling Stone in 2024 for Lipa’s cover story. “But then an hour later, we’d have something that I can’t imagine not being in the song,” he added about making “Houdini.” In that same story, Lipa admitted that she “was so nervous because I’m just such a fan of Kevin’s.”
Since then, the pair have continued to publicly support each other. In 2024, Lipa brought Parker out for her headlining set at Glastonbury Festival. The pair sang “Houdini,” of course, and also performed Tame Impala track “The Less I Know the Better.” During her 2025 Radical Optimism tour, the pop star also invited Parker to join her onstage in Melbourne, Australia.
