Spotify have revealed the most streamed artists, songs and albums of all time on the streaming service – see the lists below.
The company is marking its 20th anniversary and for the first time, they have shared its all-time top streaming charts providing a definitive look at what have been the most popular tracks and records for Spotify subscribers since 2006.
Many of the names at the top of the lists come as no surprise, with Taylor Swift being the most streamed single artist of them all. Bad Bunny’s 2022 release ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ comes out on top of the albums list, while the biggest song on Spotify of all time is The Weeknd’s ubiquitous 2019 smash ‘Blinding Lights’.
Ed Sheeran, Drake, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Billie Eilish are all well represented in the charts, while there is a strong showing for Arctic Monkeys’ fifth album ‘AM’ from 2013, which sits at Number Nine in the albums chart. That album’s closing track ‘I Wanna Be Yours’, an adaptation of the John Cooper Clarke poem, makes it onto the songs list too at Number 12.
Glass Animals made it to the top 20 most-streamed songs list with their breakout 2020 hit ‘Heat Waves’, while Coldplay’s ‘Yellow’ proves evergreen, sitting at Number 15 despite being released six years before Spotify launched.

Last month, Spotify claimed it had paid $10billion in royalties in 2024, the largest payout to the music industry in a single year, and 1,500 artists earned over $1million in royalties during the year, a 10-fold increase on the year before.
Earlier this year, however, Björk said that she thinks Spotify is “probably the worst thing that has happened to musicians”.
