It’s been a little over seven months since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement with an Instagram post that broke the Internet.
In the time since, the superstar couple have have kept quite busy. Swift released her 15th Billboard 200 No. 1 album The Life of a Showgirl back in October — moving a record-breaking 4 million equivalent album units — while Kelce signed on for his 14th season with the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this month.
Though the pair have both shared that they’re excited to plan the wedding, they are preoccupied with their work.
“I’m just doing the album thing now,” Swift said in an October appearance on The Graham Norton Show after Norton asked if she’s already planning for the big day. “And then I think the wedding is after that.”
However, with Swift and Kelce finally making their awards show debut as a couple at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 26, we are once again wondering about their wedding plans.
Members of the Tayvis camp have kept what they may or may not know about the couple’s plans for the big day mostly quiet. Kelce’s mother Donna Kelce straight up refused to speak about her potential involvement with the wedding planning when ambushed by a photographer at LAX. “I’m just happy. I’m so happy for them,” Donna said.
Meanwhile, Swift’s future sister-in-law Kylie Kelce (who’s married to Trav’s big brother Jason) made a plea on her Not Gonna Lie podcast on April 2 that people need to stop asking her for wedding dirt. “Quit asking me and my mother-in-law [Donna] about upcoming nuptials,” she said point-blank to the camera. “Nobody’s f—ing telling you anything.” She added: “I don’t have any details. I have no details. I have none. Look at that. That’s how many details I have. None. None.”
While Donna and Kyle are staying hush-hush, a few people close to the duo — including Taylor and Travis themselves — have shared little bits and pieces here and there about the nuptials.
Here is everything we know (so far) about the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding.
-
Swift wants a destination wedding
During a BBC 1 Radio interview with Swift, host Greg James thanks his longtime friend for inviting him to the big day, saying that he normally is anti-destination wedding but would make an exception for her. He goes on to ask the pop star where she thinks she’ll have the big event, to which she responds, “I’m going to let you know at a different time.”

The guest list will be long
If you’re hoping for an invite to the Tayvis wedding, you actually might be in luck.
In an October 2025 appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Swift joked that Norton “will know” after the host asked if the wedding will be happening in 2026. Swift went on to clarify that she meant she’ll be inviting Norton to the big event—as well as everyone she’s ever hung out with.
“I know it’s going to be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount, and people are on the bubble,” Swift explains. “And you have to evaluate or assess your relationship with them to see if they should be there. I’m not going to do that.”
She continues saying, “Anyone I’ve ever talked to.”

Swift and Kelce will likely hire a live band
Sorry, Mr. DJ, but this will be a live music event.
In a September episode of the Kelce brothers’ podcast New Heights, guest host Jimmy Fallon asked Travis Kelce if he and Swift have started planning the big day.
“Are you gonna do DJ or band? Are you thinking about all this stuff?” the late night TV host inquired.
Kelce responded with the couple’s preference between DJ or band saying, “Yeah, I think we’re live music kind of people, you know?”
Though he most likely won’t be the only entertainer of the night, in an October Hits Radio interview, Swift alluded that her close friend and collaborator Ed Sheeran may hit the stage during the wedding festivities.
“It’s like, ‘Ed, if there’s a stage, you know that you’ll be on it,” Swift said. “He knows what people want and he wants to give people what they want.”

They may get married by the end of the summer
Sorry to Swifties hoping for a cardigan weather wedding, but Swift and Kelce may be looking at a summer date.
In an episode of New Heights from January 2025, months before he and Swift got engaged, Kelce shared his thoughts on fall weddings, which conflict with football season.
“I actually don’t know people who have gotten married in the fall,” the Chiefs star said. “All the weddings I’ve been to, and all my friends do it in the summer.”
If they do get married this year, it might be long before the summer ends. Kelce announced earlier this month that he would be returning to the Chiefs for a 14th season this year, in part motivated by his fiancee’s work ethic and passion for what she does. Earlier this month, ESPN’s Nate Taylor shared that Kelce “plans to marry [Swift] before training camp,” which begins on July 22. If the duo do hope to avoid a wedding that conflicts with Kelce’s football schedule, it’ll have to come sooner rather than later.

Save the dates might not have gone out yet
Though all signs point to a summer wedding, the actual date has yet to be confirmed by anyone close to the couple — and some people don’t even know when it is.
In a September interview with SiriusXM’s Small Stage Series, Sheeran said that he had yet to receive a save-the-date for the wedding. He also revealed that he learned about the couple’s engagement through Instagram along with the rest of us.
“You didn’t even get a DM in advance?” host Andy Cohen asks Sheeran.
“No,” the singer replied.
More recently, during a January appearance on Today, Travis Kelce’s sister-in-law Kylie told host Savannah Guthrie that she had “no idea” whether the wedding was happening this year.
“I’m not gonna lie,” Kylie said about her lack of knowledge of wedding plans.
A good sister, Kylie doubled down on her decision to not share anything about the wedding date during an interview on the podcast Conversations With Cam. “I would love to give you all the details. I don’t have them,” Kylie replied after host Cam Rogers asked what we could expect from the wedding.
