The Oasis Reunion Tour Doc Is Currently Four Hours Long and ‘Phenomenal,’ Says Producer

Steven Knight offered a few more details about the mysterious project, calling it a “documentary with a plot”

The non-traditional documentary about Oasis’ monumental 2025 reunion tour is reportedly clocking in at about four hours long, with producer Steven Knight calling it “phenomenal.”

Knight teased a few more details about the mysterious project during a recent interview on Project Big Screen. He described it as “a documentary with a plot,” saying it’s “actually got a story.” Knight didn’t elaborate on what exactly that meant, though it seems to suggest the film could play fast and loose with fact and fiction, like Martin Scorsese’s film about Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue tour, or even Charli XCX’s The Moment

The only other bits Knight revealed about the Oasis film are that they are (unfortunately) cutting down that current four-hour runtime to something more manageable. And he spoke about how much he enjoyed interviewing brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher for the film.

“They’re just one quote after another, they’re just so funny,” Knight said.

Knight, who created the hit Netflix drama Peaky Blinders (and wrote the upcoming film), produced the Oasis doc, while Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace directed it. Southern and Lovelace previously helmed LCD Soundsystem’s 2012 concert film, Shut Up and Play the Hits, and the 2022 documentary Meet Me in the Bathroom (based on Lizzy Goodman’s book of the same name about the early-2000s indie rock boom in New York City).

Oasis wrapped their 2025 reunion tour last November after a run of shows in South America. Beyond the documentary, the band has no official plans for the future, though that hasn’t stopped Liam Gallagher from vague-posting about another tour. At the end of December, he responded to a tweet about the conclusion of Oasis 2025 by saying, “Bring on 2027 I mean 2026 I mean happy easter.”
